Transforming Uganda one village at a time through holistic, faith-driven community development
In 2011, Dr. Kaluya launched UCSS with a bold mission: to holistically uplift rural Ugandan communities through a Christ-centered model of development that integrates education, health care, economic empowerment, and spiritual formation. Since its founding, UCSS has impacted the lives of over 500,000 people, establishing 24 churches, Bible study groups, and training local pastors. Under his leadership, UCSS has also opened schools that educate over 1,800 students annually, launched model farms and economic development groups, and created healthcare initiatives that are saving lives—most notably the Nana Medical Clinic and mobile clinics that provide prenatal care, vaccinations, and general medical services to hundreds every week.
Not just aid- lasting community transformation
Dr. Kaluya’s approach to community transformation in Uganda is built on sustainability, empowerment, and faith. He has championed mental health awareness and training, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continues to equip local leaders through his work with the National Board for Certified Counselors International (NBCC-I) as a Master Trainer and signatory to Uganda’s Mental Health Facilitators (MHF) program. The UCSS model focuses on exponential change through our model of training the trainers.
