Make a Student's Christmas Bright

Friends,

It is so good to come to you today and thank you for being apart of Uganda Counseling and Support Services and to remind you that - whileJesus is the reason for the season - you are the reason UCSS is blessed.

I also want to share with you the first thing on the UCSSChristmas list for 2018. In 2016 we started our Student Sponsorship programwith 20 students. We now have 108 students! It should be that we also have 108sponsors; however, we only have 94. This happens because, for various reasons,sponsors drop off, but we do not drop the students.

So, it is my heart's prayer that, before I return to Ugandain a couple of weeks, that you would also prayerfully consider stepping intoone of these missing 14 sponsorship roles. What better Christmas gift could wegive than to provide the assurance to a young life that someone is standing bythem and will see them through.

As you listen to Edisa's story, know that there are hundredsmore like hers. In the words of King Lemuel:

"Open your mouth for those with no voice,

for the justice ofall the dispossessed.

Open your mouth,judge righteously,

and defend the cause of the poor and needy."

Again, consider the youth of Bulike and Buluya this year asyou make out your Christmas list, and for $25 per month, you can help ustransform a generation by giving them the living truth of the gospel of JesusChrist.
