Leap of Faith

Greetings!

Did you know that Leap Day (resulting in what we callLeap Year) began in 46 B.C. when Julius Caesar was working to synchronize thecalendar year with the solar year? If we do not add a day every four years,then "seasons would slowly shift and eventually Christmas would slideright into summer" according to the article in guideposts.org, et.al..

This is not my typical email introduction, I know, but Ialso know that you've been praying with us during our 29 Days of Prayer, andFebruary 29th only comes around every four years. In light of this, we decidedto make this day our "leap of faith" prayer day, and I want to inviteyou to pray big with me today. If you're opening this email after the 29th,please add these needs to your prayer list.

Knowing that the smallest amount of faith is capable of moving mountains, please join your faith with mine and help us pray for these top needs in UCSS...

• Monthly donations (UCSS Lifers) - Everyday, UCSS addresses the basic needs for the community, so this is number one. Do this today by clicking on the link at the bottom of this email.
• Compressor truck (for hauling our drilling equipment) Bringing fresh, clean water is imperative for life in Bulike and Buluya.
• Equipping the maternity ward at the health center.
• Staff quarters for our health workers and teachers.
• Equipping the high school girls' dormitory, plus building a boys' dormitory and primary school dormitory. *safety is an issue for students, medical workers and teachers*
