Every Good and Perfect Gift!
Dear Friends,
You help make every day here in Bulike and Buluya, likeChristmas! The scripture says that “…every good and perfect gift comes down fromthe Father…” Here is one thing I know: UCSS friends and partners are thegreatest gift to the families here in Uganda, and like the star that led theway to Bethlehem, you have brought light and hope where there was none. Thankyou for being here, and I pray these words do not become trite when I say, withoutyou this transformation of hope could not happen.
Like Christmas morning, there’s now a reason and anexcitement for families to get up every day. Because of you they can grow theirown food, provide for their children, get medical care – and because of you thegood news of the gospel of Jesus Christ has provided a sure foundation, builton grace and truth. As the rest of the scripture referenced above says, thereis now no change or shifting shadows, but lives that are built upon the Rock.
So, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, I also celebrate each of you, for you truly are “a good and perfect gift.” Thank you for letting the Father work through you. Thank you for listening to the call of the great commission. Thank you for every donation, every prayer, and every act of generosity that you’ve shown toward this ministry. This Christmas Season, may the God of all hope keep you and your family in perfect peace, and may the light of this glorious gospel shine in your hearts for all to see.
