Training Them for Life!

There’s an old saying, give a man a fish and feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.
The generosity of you, our partners, makes this possible for the people of Bulike & Buluya – not with fish, but with farming.
Staying true to our purpose of moving communities toward self-sustainability, UCSS has been chosen to take part in a program sponsored by Agromax(u) Ltd, a World Bank affiliated organization. We were specifically chosen because of our tenacity and commitment to working with deeply depraved communities and transforming lives in ways that have surpassed others. This would never have been possible without your help.
God’s timing and favor is, once again, to be praised. This first group of 20 youth, upon completion of their agribusiness training, are in position to design, install, and manage irrigation systems, greenhouses, commercial nurseries as well as start-up and own agribusinesses across the agriculture value chain.
These skills provided to our youth is a needed investment in their lives as they are the future of Bulike & Buluya, providing leadership and championing the change in their communities. They are expected to set up a demonstration farm to showcase their new methods of farming; greater still, they are expected to plant gardens at their homes which will be supplementary sources of income to finance their education and meet their basic needs.
If you haven’t already, become a UCSS Lifer by partnering with us for any amount monthly, and help ensure that life-changing skills such as this can continue to be taught to those who would, otherwise, be destined to the cycle of poverty and hopelessness that prevails in much of Uganda. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

If God is moving you to support this ministry, there are three things you can do now:

Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
