This is truly an amazing video because it demonstrates how UCSS, through your support, is able to transform lives. Through simple skills training, women are able to generate income for themselves and their families. Women arrive with nothing and receive training to make crafts and necklaces.
By the end they’ve made themselves jewelry and look beautiful. And they sold their crafts at the market and raised $120 US dollars. To put that in perspective, an average family who wishes to live just above the subsistence level needs about $5 per day. Through these new skills, which no one can take away from them, these women are able to help themselves and their families and become bread winners in their communities.
